TECON provided comprehensive construction engineering services for the Jasmine offshore jacket platform, a major North Sea development owned by ConocoPhillips. Working as engineering contractor for Rosetti Marino, TECON delivered specialized expertise in supporting systems, load-out operations, and installation engineering for this significant four-legged jacket structure.
The Jasmine field development required a robust platform solution capable of operating in challenging North Sea conditions at a water depth of 81.7 meters. The project demanded precise engineering for yard construction, transportation logistics, and safe installation procedures, requiring coordination across multiple engineering disciplines and construction phases.
The Jasmine jacket represents a substantial offshore structure featuring four primary legs with five horizontal framing levels designed to accommodate twenty-four conductor slots. The platform’s dimensions range from 32.0m x 35.0m at the top elevation to 51.0m x 35.0m at the seabed level, requiring careful engineering of the support and installation systems throughout the construction and deployment phases.
TECON’s engineering methodology focused on ensuring structural integrity and operational safety throughout all construction and installation phases. The approach integrated detailed structural analysis with practical construction constraints, developing solutions that optimized yard efficiency while maintaining the highest safety standards. Special attention was given to the interface between temporary construction supports and permanent structural elements, ensuring seamless transitions through each project phase.
The engineering team conducted comprehensive load analysis for all temporary works, considering dynamic effects during lifting operations and environmental loads during transportation. This thorough approach ensured that all systems maintained appropriate safety margins while enabling efficient construction sequences that met the project’s demanding schedule requirements.
